MOONBOUNCING - EXPECIENCED AND ADVANCED
As described in both previous sections of my HAM pages, BEFORE_EME and EME, I succeeded in bouncing radio signal off the Moon in order to make radio contact with some other station on the Earth.
I do have my EME log available online here : http://www.ullmann.us/EME_QSO.php .. look there for any additional contact made in 2007 or later. I also keep track of my EME QSL cards on that link.
What is this page for
I am planning on posting changes in my setup, pictures, experience and even failures here on this page.
Single Yagi antenna setup allows for some EME contacts, but it is tough. Four antenna array would produce 6 more dB of gain. While using only one antenna, these 6 dB need to be compensated for - either on my side, or (as it currently is) at the other station. Power of 400W should be considered QRP (!!) here.
I am working on new PA, considering full legal power. Along with that, I am working on new antenna setup too. Second 12 el. antenna was added to my setup on June 3rd, 2007.
Announcements
I am planning on expanding towards higher frequencies - bounce some 23cm waves off the Moon! Following picture shows a parabolic dish that John WB9PNU and myself transported to my backyard for that very purpose.

Already made my first step toward 23 cm EME - purchased and modified old DEMI transverter 144 <--> 1296 MHz. First 23cm QSO in my life was made with Dave KB0PE as documented on this QSL card:

Second Yagi antenna was added to my system. I am using 2 antennas 12 el. each with total gain somewhere between 15-16 dBd. These antennas were made by M-square. See following pictures.

Did you notice the Moon on this picture?

Some details .. yes, the crossboom is made of fibreglass.
